Camp Loma Mar Receives Environmental Leadership Award
California State Assembly Member Jerry Hill of the 19th Assembly District has awarded YMCA Camp Loma Mar the Environmental Leadership Award in recognition of Camp Loma Mar’s Stewardship in helping hundreds of Northern California children appreciate their natural surroundings. In partnership with organizations such as Youth Enrichment Strategies and Exploring New Horizons, Camp Loma Mar teaches school-age students about the natural world, environmental conservation, and practices and methods to conserve resources and preserve our local and global environments. The award is granted to businesses, non-profit agencies and governmental organizations in the 19th Assembly District that demonstrate and promote sustainable practices.
