This key position requires a mature and organized leader with the ability to relate to children, live with and supervise a group of 7-10 campers while providing for their safety, well being and development in a fun, nurturing setting. Must be able to relate to ones peers and live in a community setting, be of good character and set high standards for behavior. Cabin Leaders model the values of the YMCA of the East Bay and YMCA Camp Loma Mar on a daily basis for the campers in their charge and the community as a whole. The cabin leader assumes responsibility for the leadership and guidance of the campers assigned to the cabin, paying special attention to personal hygiene and safety, participation in camp activities, behavior management, personal growth and development. Cabin leaders must be flexible and mature and be able to accept supervision.
